  ROBOTILL Point of Sale Software is supported on Windows 11. If the PC where ROBOTILL is installed is giving you the option to upgrade to Windows 11, you can go ahead and upgrade (if you want).  You will not need to register again or do anything else - ROBOTILL will just continue to work. ROBOTILL is committed to stay up to date with the latest technology. 

  ROBOTILL Version 9.04 is available. We would like to thank all our customers for their feedback and for helping us make ROBOTILL the best point of sale software system ! The following is new in version 9.04: You can now force stock codes to be unique. See #1 in General Settings . A problem in the 'Profit and Tax Per Item' report has been fixed. A double click in the product search screen sometimes caused a fatal error - this has been resolved. Lay-by contracts are now added in the 'sales per day' report on the day the contract is completed. You can now view customer statements for deleted customers in the report section. Customer account statements have been improved according to accounting standards. When changing a price tier after an item was added, and then you add the same item to the sale, it caused the receipt to display the correct totals but the unit prices did not correspond to the item sub totals - this has been resolved.  Account payment receipts now allow...

  ROBOTILL is a client-server system where you can have multiple computers linked to a server. If you aleady have ROBOTILL installed on your server PC but you know want to use one of the other computers as the server, then you can follow the steps in this article.  Choosing your server PC When using the ROBOTILL Point of Sale System you can choose a POS Computer (till point) or a back office PC as the server. Have a look at the minimum requirements of a server PC . If your back office computer is a laptop and the laptop will not always be connected to the network, then you will have to choose one of your till points as the server. The Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) came into effect today in South Africa. As a registered company based in South Africa, ROBOTILL needs to be POPIA compliant.   ROBOTILL is a fast and robust point of sale system . It uses Microsoft SQL Server as the database server. Even with several POS Computers (tills) and back office computers connected at the same time it should still be fast.   If however you experience performance problems, follow the steps below: Upgrade to the latest version . We are continually busy improving ROBOTILL, adding more features but also improving the performance.  Check to see if your computer is busy with Windows Updates. If it is, allow the updates to finish. Windows Updates can severely slow down a computer.  Close all other programs while working on ROBOTILL, including browsers, email and music apps. Some of these programs can use a lot of resources. Make sure it is not your printer that is causing a problem - to test turn off 'default printing' (see #1 in  https://poshelp.robotill.com/Configuration.aspx#General ).   The popular free edition of the ROBOTILL point of sale system just got better. ROBOTILL removed the nagging ' Do you want to upgrade to the full edition? ' message that popped up every time you logged in.  ROBOTILL also increased the number of sales per day for the free edition. For the retail module it is now 200 and for the restaurant module it is 100 sales per day. The free edition never expires - but if you need more power you can upgrade to the full edition at any time. To upgrade is quick and you will not lose any data.   ROBOTILL just released version 9.03 of their point of sale system. The new update has improvements for users of both the restaurant software and retail software .  The following is new: The cash withdrawal and cash drop functionality now prints a slip that can be customized in the print design tool of ROBOTILL.   The registration process has been improved so that the registration process is easier to follow. The till session report has been improved - more detail added. The cash up has been improved - required amounts for non-cash methods (card and other custom methods) are now taking refunds of the same payment type into account. The free edition no longer prompts the user to upgrade during log-in's. Stock take has been improved - attribute view was added and stock on hand for the scan option was added.   It is the job of point of sale software to keep track of your inventory so that you know how much stock you have at all times. But what happens when the actual stock on hand, or the quantity that you think should be there, is different to what your POS system says? With earlier versions of ROBOTILL you had to look at several reports to figure out how the system came to the quantity it says should be there.  The reports included: Stock take report Stock receiving Product sales Discarded stock Returned stock You then also had to keep in mind that if you use compound items that the sale of one product can affect the quantity of other products. ROBOTILL now made it easy with a new 'Stock On Hand Trace' report. It will allow you to look at a specific product to see how the system got to the current stock on hand quantity.  The report is available from version 9.02.00 that can be downloaded from ROBOTILL .  

  ROBOTILL published a Recipe Inventory Management training video. The video shows how to keep track of your ingredients used.   ROBOTILL just made it easier to work with multiple branches. The ROBOTILL Branch Module has been replaced by our new head office functionality that can be enabled by toggling a switch and entering a key - no other set up required! What Changed? Our ROBOTILL Branch Module was a bit of a mission to set up. It used Google Drive and each branch needed a Google Drive account. You had to install Google Backup and Sync, the Branch Module and Branch Updater. All that is now gone. The new head office support is built into ROBOTILL Back Office - nothing extra to install. It makes use of our own ROBOTILL Head Office Cloud Server.  Cost?
