Restaurant Quick Start Guide

  We published a new video on how to get started with the restaurant software program of ROBOTILL. The new video uses version 9 of ROBOTILL and replaced the previous video (with the same title) that was using version 8.

ROBOTILL Version 8.07 released

ROBOTILL Version 8.07 is availalbe for download . The reporting module and the waiter ordering system has been improved. A lot is going on in the background when multiple waiters places multiple orders in a short period of time. Each order is split into departments (kitchen, bar, etc) and the orders are sent to the various department printers. We have made this process more robust. There is now also Order History You can now see what items were ordered, when and how. In the Restaurant Module, select the table(sale) and then select 'Menu'. In version 8.07 there is now a 'Order History' button. When you select it, the items that was ordered with the times will be displayed. It is also possible to view the history of ordered items for sales that has been completed. This is done in the Reporting Module. In the Reporting Module select the new 'Order History' report. Table Selection in POS Restaurant Module

POS Restaurant Tables - Click Image to Enlarge Selecting Tables in the Point of Sale Restaurant Module of ROBOTILL is now easier, quicker and better. The new Restaurant floor-plan will display the tables as they are located in your Restaurant or Bar. Tables are color coded so that you can see if a table is available or in use. When a table is selected the following information about the table will be displayed: Table Name / Number Cashier allocated to the table Waiter that is busy serving the table.  If a specific customer is allocated to the table, the customer name will also be displayed. A customer table can also be other items that orders can be allocated to, for example: Pub/Bar Chairs (see image above). Restaurant POS Module 4.13 Released

Version 4.13 of ROBOTILL is available for download . It is only the restaurant module that changed from version 4.12 to version 4.13. The following changes where done: In some cases (specific conditions needed to be present) some tables got stuck and it was not possible to clear these tables for new sales. This problem is fixed in version 4.13. Notes/comments added for specific items in an order was repeated on new order slips for that specific order - this is also now fixed. Thank you ROBOTILL customers for your feedback. Remember that all upgrades and support is free of charge!. POS Restaurant module improved

The POS Restaurant Module of ROBOTILL has been improved. Some of the new features of the ROBOTILL Restaurant Module (Version 3.8): Some layout changes on the user interface was done. A sale can now be moved from one table to another. The waiter that was allocated to a sale/table can be changed. In Version 3.8, only new items added to a sale are printed on the various department printers (kitchen/bar/etc). In previous versions, each department would have receive items for that department but all items would have been printed again if a new item was added. There is now a 'Resubmit Full Order' option to reprint the full order slip with all items for that order. It is now possible to allocate multiple printers to a Department. The order slip will be printed on all the printers for a department. Notice to existing customers: When upgrading to version 3.8, you will need to set up your Department Printers again. Setting up Cocktails in your Restaurant POS System

Setting up most items for the Restaurant module of ROBOTILL is quick and easy. Some items like cocktails is a bit more tricky. You need to set it up correctly to accurately keep track of how much stock you have left. For this example, we will set up a Springbokkie (a popular  cocktail shooter in South Africa) As you will receive Cape Velvet as a 750ml bottle and you would like to sell it as a bottle or break it up into smaller units you can use for cocktails, you set the Cape Velvet bottle up as a normal stock item. You then create another stock item and call it 'Cape Velvet 30ml shots'. After you created the 30ml shot item, add it as sub items to the Cape Velvet 750 ml bottle item. As you can get 25 units from a 750ml bottle, change the qty to 25 and remember to Update the item. The bottle is now set up correctly and can be sold as a bottle or as 30ml shots.
