Lay-bye sales now supported

The POS Software System ROBOTILL now supports laybye (layby, lay-bye) sales. A lay-bye sale allows customers to pay off items over a period with zero interest. The following lay-bye features are supported:
  • Simply scan the items the customer wants to purchase on laybye.
  • New laybye contract is printed together with an internal ‘stock reserved’ slip.
  • Minimum deposit percentage can be set.
  • Laybye payment slip with details like outstanding balance printed with each payment.
  • Laybye reports on current, cancelled and completed laybye sales.
  • Easy Laybye interface with option to setup customers from the POS screen.



Other new features in ROBOTILL Version 2.7:
  • If the quantity is more than one, the price per item is also now included in the slip.
  • Total tax has been added as an optional print item if you prefer to use Total Tax instead of Tax detail.
  • New Tax Report has been added.
  • When you do a price change, you can now enter the price including tax or the price excluding tax.
  • Cash Drawer report can now be printed from the POS Application on the slip printer (or a standard printer).
  • Cash Withdraw option added if you want to remove cash from the drawer.
  • Customer notes added.

Upgrading to ROBOTILL Version 8

The ROBOTILL Version 8 release is a major release. If you are upgrading from ROBOTILL Version 7 (or earlier versions) to version 8 please take note of the following:

Normally you don't need new licence keys when upgrading, but we made some changes to our licencing system. You will need to follow the new registration instructions to get new keys (no need to pay again). We should email the new keys withing an hour or two (but allow for up to 8 hours). POS Card Reader for Cashier and Waiter Login

ROBOTILL now supports a card reader for logging in users (cashiers, supervisors, waiters). If this option is selected, it will replace the default login where a user needs to select his name from a list and type a password to log in.

Other new features in version 3.31 of ROBOTILL include:

A refund can now be allocated to an account (previously only cash refunds were supported). The customer account will be updated and the customer statement will reflect the refund.New stock items can now be created during stock receiving.Tier prices can now be updated in the price maintenance screen and during stock receiving.Payment screen improved to speed up payments.

ROBOTILL Remote Support

Update (2019/04/20): ROBOTILL No longer uses Chrome Desktop for remote support.
We now use AnyDesk. Installing Chrome Remote Desktop Step 1: If you are not already using Google Chrome as your browser, download and install Google Chrome (you can keep on using your existing browser as well).

Step 2: If you don't already have a google account, create one ... it is free (for gmail, drive and more).

Step 3: Install the Google Chrome Remote Desktop add-on from the Google Store. On the install page, click on 'Add to Chrome'.

Starting a Remote Support Session Email ROBOTILL Support and ask for support. They will arrange a time with you when they will be able to connect to your computer. When they ask you to send you the Remote Desktop ID, follow the steps below.
