Upgrading to the latest version of ROBOTILL is always a great idea, as each new release brings not only exciting new features but also important quality improvements and bug fixes. Typically, we don't mandate upgrades. However, due to the recent enhancement of our licensing system, we can only register computers running version 9.18 or later.
Licences on computers with earlier versions will continue to work, but if you need to renew, re-register after a database restore, or move a licence to another computer, then you will first need to upgrade to the latest version.
Important - Please take note of the following changes
- In previous versions, stock were committed to inventory as you are busy receiving it. From version 9.18 received stock will only be committed to inventory once the receiving batch has been marked as completed. The reason for this is to allow users to make corrections before committing stock to inventory.
- From version 9.18 automatic backups will only be done from the Back Office App. The app needs to be open but no one needs to be logged in.
What's new in version 9.18?
- With stock receiving it is now easy to correct any mistakes that is made during the stock receiving process. The new version allows you to receive the stock, check what you have received and make any corrections that are needed before committing the new stock to inventory.
- You can now order the same product from different suppliers by removing a restriction limiting you to order only products that were allocated to a specific supplier.
- Database backup has been improved. You can now let ROBOTILL automatically copy your backup file to your cloud folder. You can also change the automatic backup frequency from daily to hourly. See Database Backup.
- You can now view sales that were voided (the details of the sale) in the Back Office App > Home > History > Voided Sales. Note the history will not show sales voided from versions before 9.18.
- Customer details can now be added to the intermediate bill.
- Several other quality fixes and improvements has been done.
